TC1 & TMI1 Traffic Control & Management
Course Overview
Traffic control is one of the quickest ways into civil construction, and holding both tickets puts you ahead of workers who only hold one.
This combined course delivers TC1 and TMI1 together. TC1 qualifies you to control traffic on site with a stop-slow bat and portable traffic control devices. TMI1 takes it further, qualifying you to read, set up and implement approved Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes. This training is for category 1 roads
Practical experience requirements
You must complete at least 20 hours of practical experience in a temporary traffic management workplace, and at least three different traffic management set-ups. Your final practical assessment happens after that experience is gained. All practical requirements must be completed on declared Temporary Traffic Management Category 1 roads within six months of finishing the classroom component.
Final assessment will be completed at Procon Training after jobsite placement work has been completed. (Included in course price, No extra final assessment fees!)
Entry Requirements
| Statement of Attainment or verifiable USI transcript for CPCCWHS1001 (Prepare to work safely in the construction industry), or equivalent. A physical White Card alone is not accepted. |

| Aged 18 or over |
| Complete a language, literacy and numeracy assessment before enrolment |
| Physically able to walk, bend and lift signs and equipment |
| Available to complete unpaid practical placement on Category 1 roads |
| Supply and wear your own PPE. • Steel-capped safety boots (lace-up with zip) • High-visibility, long-sleeve orange shirt with 2 bio-motion tape strips • Cotton drill long work pants with 2 bio-motion tape strips • Hard hat with sun brim and chin strap • Safety glasses • Safety gloves |
